The Only Time I Wish I Were A Guy…

As I sit here writing this I am wearing pants that have four pockets, none of which is able to hold more than a tiny piece of paper. I am wearing shoes that are 1/2 a size too big because I needed comfortable boots to wear in the winter and couldn’t find anything my size. Right now I have five pairs of sneakers at home. Two of them were bought for running and ended up being really uncomfortable. One pair has holes in the bottom so I can’t wear them when it will be wet. Another pair has a sole that is as thin as a piece of paper, very uncomfortable. My favorite pair got torn and I tried to glue them back together. Now there is an uncomfortable blob of glue right near the big toe. This can basically be summed up to I don’t have any comfortable shoes. Why? I think the key reason is because I am a girl and for some reason, our clothes suck.
Take pants for example. Why is it so hard to find a pair of pants with functional pockets? I just want to be able to put my cell phone in my pocket. But no, this is not to be because girl pants are so poorly designed. The other day I went shopping for some new jeans. I used to love shopping when I was little, but now it is a giant pain the in the ass. I tried on something like fifteen pairs of jeans, ended up buying two pairs and those don’t even fit all that well. What do designers have against a woman with a booty? I’m not fat by any means, but I do have curves and it drives me crazy that it is so hard to find clothes that fit.
Then on the other hand, there are guy clothes which have functional pockets always and are almost always easier to clean and care for and I’m pretty sure cheaper too.
What is the deal with the fashion industry? If I wanted to wear uncomfortable shoes, I’d buy high heels and if I wanted to have a garment with non-functional pockets, I would just wear a skirt. It seems to me that there are just certain aspects of being a woman that suck. Trying to find clothes that fit, are affordable, and functional is next to impossible.
